About

As a biomedical and molecular researcher, my primary focus is on investigating the role of immunity in obesity-associated diabetes. I also have broader interests in human anatomy, histology, and medical education. Currently, I work as a doctoral researcher and Anatomy lab instructor at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto (UofT), Canada. Additionally, I serve as the Executive Director and lead mentor at the Center for Biomedical Research and Training (CBRT). I have authored more than 15 articles in high-impact and indexed journals and secured over $120,000 in competitive grants/awards/scholarships. With a career spanning over 15 years in medical teaching, biomedical research, and clinical practice, I possess a comprehensive skill set and in-depth understanding necessary to drive positive outcomes in these roles. As a passionate educator, I am committed to fostering a learner-centered classroom that encourages the practical application of knowledge. I have a proven track record of excellence in building strong relationships between students, faculty, and administrators. My rich teaching experience across diverse institutes and global locations equips me to thrive in culturally diverse settings, facilitating inclusive and collaborative learning. Through my work, I strive to advance medical knowledge and ultimately, enhance patient care standards.
